Review: Aurelia Balance & Glow Day Oil

Hi everyone,

I have started to use the Aurelia Balance & Glow Day Oil as part of my evening skincare routine. This is the first product from Aurelia that I've ever used, and I'm really enjoying having it as part of my skincare routine.

Overview
This is a lovely lightweight oil is suitable for using both during the day and also in the evening. It aims to hydrate, rebalance, and provide nourishment to the skin. It also aims to even out skin tone, and it's suitable for all skin types.

Botanical Properties
The Aurelia Balance & Glow Day Oil is formulated with numerous botanicals and vitamins to benefit the skin's overall health.
The botanicals Kukui, Kalahari & Mongongo help to deliver high levels of vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids, which will help to protect and regenerate the skin. The botanicals of Hemp, Borage & Sweet Almond oils helps to soothe, hydrate and balance the skin that will help the skin to glow from morning through to the evening. It also has ingredients such as Jasmine, Plumeria, Tuberose & Mandarin to help provide a moment of mindfulness and relaxation.

Hemp - Soothing to the skin and rich in antioxidants
Mongongo - Rich in Vitamin E
Kukui - Hydrates and nourishes the skin
Borage - Rich in essential fatty acids

The Aurelia Balance and Glow Day Oil is a lovely, lightweight facial oil that sinks into the skin straight away. I prefer to use this as part of my evening skincare routine, as it provides just a moment of relaxation during my skincare routine.
I find that using three drops is more than enough, and before I press it into the skin I like to warm it in between my both of my hands as it helps it to sink into easier.

This is fragranced with natural ingredients, so it could be a little too much especially if you are sensitive to fragrance. So, it is something to watch out for.

This is a gorgeous facial oil from Aurelia, and I would like to explore more of this brand in the future.

Cult Beauty & Skinsider Haul

Hi everyone,

I have recently been doing a little bit of shopping, but in this haul it features products that I have been interested in purchasing for quite a while. I love both the Cult Beauty and Skinsider websites, as they both offer products that I'm interested in trying. Cult Beauty focuses on luxury and Skinsider is a UK based company that specialises in Korean and Asian skincare.

Molton Brown Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel Bath & Shower Gel
I've had my eye on the Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel range from Molton Brown ever since it was released. To me this is lovely, refreshing scent that reminds me of being near the sea. Occasionally, I do like to treat myself to a more expensive shower gel, and I really like the Molton Brown shower gels as I have used a few of them in the past.

Molton Brown Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel Hand Lotion
I decided to get the matching scent of the hand lotion, as I'm not far off from running out of hand cream. I've never tried a hand lotion from Molton Brown, but I'm really looking forward to having it on my bedside table to apply right before I go to bed.

Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette
This is one eyeshadow palette from Natasha Denona that I've had my eye since I first heard about it back in 2020. This is slightly warmer than what I would usually go for with my eyeshadows, but I really like the Natasha Denona eyeshadow formula as it blends so easily.

Instree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream
I've had my eye on this moisturiser for while from Instree, as I think it would work well with my morning skincare routine as it give my skin an extra boost of hydration. Also, with it being a gel cream formula it should work well for my combination skin.

COSRX Green Tea Soothing Gel Cream
I decided to get the Green Tea Soothing Gel Cream as my next moisturiser to use as part of my evening skincare routine once my other one moisturiser runs out. I'm really looking forward to having this as part of my evening skincare routine, as I've never used anything from COSRX before; but I've heard nothing but good things about their products.

Fragrance Review: Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche EDT

Hi everyone,

Today I'm going to review one of my favourite ever fragrances from Chanel, and its the Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche EDT.

I have always loved this fragrance from Chanel, and already own it as the travel size. But I have been after a bottle of this for a very long time.

The Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche is a delight to wear, especially during the Spring & Summer months. The fragrance just has a lovely, fresh green scent, which isn't something that I would usually go for, but there's just something about this fragrance that I absolutely adore.

Fragrance Notes
Top Notes: Lemon, Cedar & Citron
Heart Notes: Water Hyacinth, Pink Pepper & Jasmine
Base Notes: Patchouli, White Musk, Vetiver, Teak Wood, Iris & Amber

To me I can't smell any woodsy scents in this fragrance, but I do seem to get the notes of Lemon, Water Hyacinth, Iris and maybe a bit of Amber.

If you wanted to try a fragrance from Chanel, but you are a little unsure I would recommend that you give this one a go, as its not only is it on the lighter side, but its also very wearable. Some of the other Chanel fragrances can be on the stronger side, especially if you haven't tried a Chanel fragrance before. This is a lovely introduction into the world of Chanel and the fragrances that they offer.

Beauty Empties

Hi everyone,

It's been quite a while since I've done a post on the products that I've used up, so I thought I would share my thoughts on the products that I have used up over the past few months.

Pixi Rose Tonic
This is the second bottle of the Pixi Rose Tonic that I have gone through, and its a really nice toner. I was finding that I was going through it rather quickly. I'm now on the hunt for another rose based toner, but I could repurchase it again in the future.

L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Water Gel Cleanser
I used this cleanser as part of my evening skincare routine, and it took me a good nine months to get through it as you really don't need a lot. It has a lovely refreshing scent, and it's an really effective gel cleanser. I already have a back up ready to go once I have finished using up my current cleanser.

Rituals Cleansing Balm
This was a lovely cleansing balm from Rituals, but I went through it really quickly. It has a lovely spa like fragrance, and it did do a really good as my first cleanser as part of my skincare routine. Not too sure if I would repurchase it again, as I just went through it too quickly.

REN Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream
This was a really lovely moisturiser from REN, and I really enjoyed using it as part of my morning skincare routine. I got a good, solid six weeks out of this little deluxe sample, and my skin loved it. It also gave my skin a healthy glow, and made it look brighter and healthier.

Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Cream
This was a lovely Vitamin C moisturiser from Ole Henriksen, even though it had the strangest custard-like consistency. It took a couple of days for me to get used to, but once I had figured out the learning curve I started to enjoy using the moisturiser.

Blistex Intensive Lip Care in 'Cherry'
I used this as my overnight lip balm, and it really worked. Don't be fooled by the tiny size of this balm, as it lasted months. Also, I really enjoyed the cherry scent of this balm.

Olay Nourishing Cleansing Balm
I got this cleansing balm to try, as my first cleanse in my evening skincare routine. It's an okay cleansing balm if you are looking for something for something on a budget, but it does have a runny consistency and I found that a lot product came out of the tube at once. It's also heavily fragranced. I don't think I will repurchase this again, as I have found another budget friendly cleansing balm that I prefer so much more.

L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Cream
This is a lovely moisturiser from L'Occitane, and I used it as part of my evening skincare routine due to it's thicker consistency. I sunk into my skin straight away, and when I woke the following morning my skin felt hydrated and supple.

Lancome Multi Lift Eye Cream
This eye cream took me a good year to use up, as you only needed to use a small amount. It also has light pink colour too it, so it brightens the under eye area. I'm unsure if I would repurchase this eye cream again, as it is quite expensive.

Clinique 'Take the Day Off' Eye Make Up Remover
This little deluxe size eye make up remover from Clinique took me forever to get through. It's a really effective eye make up remover, and it would consider buying it again once I have worked my way through the other two bottles of eye make up remover that I own.

Imperial Leather Sea Samphire & Water Mint Hand Wash
This is a gorgeous scented hand wash from Imperial Leather, and it gets the job done. I've already got another one ready to go once I have finished up my current hand wash.

Soap & Glory 'Bubble in Paradise' Shower Gel
This is a lovely gel from Soap & Glory, but I really didn't enjoy the scent as I'm not a fan of the Passion Fruit and Mango scented range as a whole. I don't think the scent works well with my natural body chemistry.

Dr Botanicals Japanese Orange Revive & Firm Facial Serum
This is the second bottle of the Japanese Orange Revive & Firm Facial Serum from Dr Botanicals that I have gone through, and this is a lovely lightweight serum that sinks into the skin straight away. I really enjoyed using this as part of my evening skincare routine and I would consider repurchasing this serum again in the future.

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil
I have gone through a number of bottles of this facial oil over the years, and its absolutely gorgeous facial oil and it smells divine. It's so lightweight that it sinks into the skin straight away. I would repurchase this again in the future, but for the moment I'm looking into trying some more rose based facial oils. This one is still my favourite (for the moment).

Emma Hardie Brillance Facial Oil
This is the first skincare product from Emma Hardie that I've ever used, and its a gorgeous facial oil. This took me by surprise, as it has a thick consistency. But, you only need three drops at the most as it sinks into the skin straight away. It also has a lovely relaxing natural lavender fragrance. I would consider repurchasing this again in the future.

Caudalie S.O.S Serum
I've gone through a number of bottles of this serum from Caudalie over the years, and this was the first hydrating serum that I had ever used. I used this as part of my morning skincare routine. I would consider purchasing this again in the future, but for the moment I'm currently exploring different hydrating serums to see if I can find one that suits my skin a little bit more.

Feather & Down Sleep Butter
I was looking for a lavender based body butter, and the one from Feather & Down had really good reviews, so I decided to purchase a tub. This is a lovely, relaxing body butter with a gorgeous lavender scent. It does have a thick consistency, but it does sink into the skin straight away. This is also the first product from Feather & Down that I've ever used, and I would repurchase it again if I was wanting a lavender based body butter.

Soap & Glory 'A Cream Come True' Body Butter
This is from Soap & Glory's new Coconut & Green Tea range, and I was really looking forward to using it as it was coconut scented. I was expecting this to be just as enjoyable to use as the coconut body butter from the Body Shop, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The body butter itself has a really formula and consistency, but it was the scent of this that I didn't enjoy; which is a shame as I really wanted to enjoy the experience of trying out a new coconut scented body butter.

Review: L'Oreal Fine Flowers Toner

Hi everyone,

I have been using the L'Oreal Fine Flowers Toner as part of my evening skincare routine, and I'm really enjoying using it as part of that routine.

Claims
- Fresh texture to invigorate the skin
- The fresh texture invigorates the skin the last traces of impurities for a perfectly cleansed complexion
- Extracts of Rose & Jasmine flowers in a toner for soft, comfortable & fresh skin

Rose - Known for its soothing & comforting properties
Jasmine -Renowned for its protecting & moisturising properties

This toner took me by surprise, as I was expecting it to be just your usual watery toner. This isn't, as it has the consistency of an essence. Also, due to its consistency I have found that I don't need to apply as much to a cotton round.

I have found this toner to be one of the most nourishing toners I have ever come across. I feel as if this toner does something to the skin once it has been applied. It makes my skin feel clean, but also nourished and moisturised at the same time. I also feel that the essence that I apply after I have used this toner works even harder, and sinks into the skin quicker.

This toner is also quite strongly scented of Rose and Jasmine, so if you are sensitive to fragrance in your skincare I wouldn't recommend using this toner. Despite it being marketed towards people who have sensitive skin. I have combination skin, and it works well for skin needs.

I actually got this try, as a budget alternative to the Pixi Rose Tonic. I think I prefer the L'Oreal Fine Flowers toner more, as I find that it does more for my skin. It's also a budget friendly toner, and you do a lot of product for your money. Plus, with it having a thicker consistency it will last a lot longer.

This is a really lovely product from the L'Oreal skincare line, and it's great if you are looking for a toner on a budget.

Fragrance Review: Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Bloom EDT

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to review for you Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb Bloom EDT, which is a lighter but slightly different take on the original Flowerbomb fragrance.

This is a gorgeous take on the original Flowerbomb fragrance by Viktor & Rolf,  and if I'm being completely honest I actually prefer this variation more. Even though, I do own the original Flowerbomb scent as a mini and also as a rollerball.

I prefer this one more, as it's a lot lighter while at the same time its also a bit sweeter. This is also more of daytime fragrance, as it is on the light side. Don't be fooled just because it's a lighter fragrance, as I have found that this also has some staying power.

Fragrance Notes
Top Notes: Pomegranate Accord, Bergamot & Mandarin
Heart Notes: Centifolia Rose, Sambac Jasmine, Osmanthus, Cattleya Orchid, & Pure Air Molecules
Base Notes: Musk, Vanilla & Patchouli

If you are like myself, and you are not a fan of the original Flowerbomb fragrance; then I would recommend that you try this and see what you think. I know that the Flowerbomb fragrances aren't for everyone, but you could always explore the range and see if there's one that might suit you and your individual scent profile.

A Mini Beauty Haul

 Hi everyone,

I have recently done a little bit of shopping in Boots, M&S and also Fragrance Direct.

Velvet Heart Make Up Bag
This is a very roomy bag that is made from a velvet like material, with a lovely little heart on the front. This caught my eye, as soon as it came into M&S. It's also very reasonably priced, as the size of the make up bag is on the large side.

Seasalt & Freesia 100ml EDT
This is another budget friendly version of the Jo Malone fragrance 'Wood Sage & Sea Salt'. I got this as I thought it would be ideal to wear for work, as it's a very light fresh, floral fragrance; that can be worn all year round.

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche 50ml EDT
This is a lovely light, fresh scent from the Chanel Chance line. I already own this fragrance in the purse version, and its gorgeous to wear during the Spring and Summer months. I've always liked this fragrance from Chanel, but I have now decided to buy as a bottled fragrance, as well as having the purse friendly version.

Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme 50ml EDP
This is a lovely, but sophisticated fragrance from Dolce & Gabbana that can be worn either through out the day or during the evening. This is an absolutely gorgeous fragrance that is also very versatile.

Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment
I was after a lip exfoliator that wasn't that messy, and then it dawned on me about the Lanolips Lemonade Lip Treatment. This is a lovely exfoliating lip treatment, which doesn't have the mess unlike a lip scrub. I have also found this not only to be exfoliating, but it also provides nourishment to the lips; and an added bonus its smells like fresh lemonade. I'm kicking myself for not purchasing this sooner.
