Taking A Break Over Christmas & New Year

Hi everyone,

I'm just letting you know that my blog will taking a break from December until mid January.

The reason I'm doing this is because everything got a little too much, and I don't want that to happen again. So they will be no posts from the beginning of December until maybe the third week of January.

I'll let you know when my blog will be and up and running again by sending out a post a week prior to the blog resuming as normal.

Best Wishes

Review: Caudalie Vine Activ Anti-Wrinkle Serum

Hi everyone,

I have been using the Caudalie Vine Activ Anti-Wrinkle Serum as part of my evening skincare routine. I have been using this since I have found that my favourite Caudalie Polyphenol C15 serum had been discontinued :(

The Caudalie Vine Activ Anti-Wrinkle serum is a vitamin C based serum, so if you are using other serums or oils make sure this is the first to applied to skin after you have done you toner. Even though this is new serum from Caudalie; I did use the same method to apply the product when I was using the discontinued Polyphenol C15 serum and I have never experienced any problems doing it this way.

Claims
- Concentrated serum is packed with antioxidant polyphenols
- Helps to protect the skin from everyday aggressors such as pollution & stress on a daily basis
- Visibly smoothing initial signs of wrinkles & restoring a new healthy glow to the skin
- It's light & watery texture blends into the skin leaving no sticky residue

This is a lovely, lightweight formula which sinks into the skin straight away, and it also has the signature Caudalie scent to it; which is a light and fresh fragrance.
I only use one pump of this serum in the evenings as part of my skincare routine, as that seems to be more than enough. I have also been getting a lot of compliments on a glowy my complexion is recently.

This is a lovely serum from Caudalie, but I don't think it could replace the discontinued Polyphenol C15 serum. Even though they are a similar product they are definitely not the same.

Review: Kiehl's Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment

Hi everyone,

I have been using the Kiehl's Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment as part of my evening skincare routine for the past couple of months; and I'm really enjoying it.

This is a lovely, and very hydrating eye cream that works brilliantly as part of an evening skincare routine. Since I have introduced this into my evening skincare routine I have noticed my under eyes don't seem as dehydrated as they once were.

Claims
- Rich & creamy Avocado treatment
- Unique & concentrated texture is enriched with Avocado to gently moisturise the delicate eye area
- The formula does not migrate into the eyes

A little bit goes a very way when using this, and it also goes into a lightweight almost watery texture once it has been blended into the under eye area.

Tip
Apply a grain of rice amount to your fourth finger, and then use your other fourth finger to help warm the eye cream up. While you're doing this you should notice that the texture changes from a thick texture to a lightweight and watery consistency. This happens because as your warming the eye cream up you are actually helping to burst the hydrating molecules, which will help to keep the under eye hydrated.
It's important that you warm the eye cream up otherwise its going to take a very long while to sink into the skin.

I'm really enjoying using the Kiehl's Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment, especially now that I have found out how to use it the correct way. This is a wonderful eye cream to use your in a need of a little hydration under the eyes.

Products I Have Used Up

Hi everyone,

Its time for me to show what products that I have used up over the past couple of months.

Avon Planet Spa Moroccan Romance Shower Oil
This is a lovely rose scented shower oil from Avon, and it smells delicious. Also, a little but goes a very long way. It doesn't really foam up, but it does leave your skin feeling very moisturised.

Baylis & Harding Shower Gel (Travel Size)
I can't remember which scent this was, but it was really lovely to use. I only got a few uses out of it, as it was only a travel size.

Body Shop Vineyard Peach Shower Gel
One of the nicest scents to ever come out of the Body Shop, as its just so fresh and lovely. The scent is gorgeous. Its just a shame it can't be available all year round, and that I only bring it back for the sales.

Dove Cucumber & Green Tea Deodorant
I love the scent of the Cucumber and Green Tea range from Dove, and I have gone through quite a few of these over the years.

Elemis Rehydrating Rose Petal Cleanser
This is lovely rose scented cream cleanser from Elemis. It took me a good year or so to get through this, as you only need to use about two pumps of this at a time. I used this as part of my evening skincare routine.

Body Shop Mojito Body Butter
I loved the scent of this, and they really need to bring this back. Actually, I loved this product as a whole, as it left me smelling fresh as well as leaving my skin feeling hydrated.

Lush Retrend Conditioner
This is an awesome conditioner from Lush, especially if your hair is need a little hydration. It also smells like Palma Violets. I've currently got another one of these on the go at the moment.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Serum (Discontinued)
One of my favourite serums from Caudalie has now been discontinued, and I'm now using the product that has replaced it and its nowhere near as good.

Clinique 'All About Eyes' Eye Cream
This is the second one these that I have gone through, and I think my under eyes are in need a little more hydration than what this gives me. Its a good eye cream, but its just hydrating enough for me at the moment.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara
I loved this mascara from Maybelline, but I have quite a few in my collection at the moment so I won't be repurchasing for the moment.

A Little Skincare Haul

Hi everyone,

I'm due for running out of some of skincare items, so I've had a little stock up. Some of these items I have used before, and there's one or two new products that I never tried before.

Dr Botanicals Japanese Orange Revive & Firm Facial Serum
I decided to get this as I'm just starting to get into Vitamin C serums. This has a mixture of  Vitamins C & A. Vitamin A is what is known as Retinol, which helps the skin cells to flip over. I've never used any Retinol products before, and because this has a mild form of Vitamin A in it I thought I would give it a go. I've only used it a few times, but my skin has been fine with it. It also smells like oranges.

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil
I've used up a 15ml size of the Rose Superfood Oil from Dr Botanicals earlier on this year, and I've been wanting back in my skincare routine ever since. This is a lovely lightweight serum that sinks into the skin straight, and it smells absolutely gorgeous. I'm really happy to have this back in my skincare routine.

Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash
I'm currently using this as part of my morning skincare routine, and I'm really enjoying it. Even though its a deep cleansing facial cleanser, its not stripping to the skin. Also a little bit goes a very long way. It also has a lovely citrus scent which is refreshing to use first thing in the morning.

Kiehl's Calendula Herbal Extract Toner
I got this to go alongside the Calendula cleanser. I've never used this toner before, so I'm not to sure on what to expect. But it is alcohol free, so it shouldn't be stripping to the skin.

Kiehl's Facial Fuel Face Wash For Men
Even though this is aimed at men, I've actually got this for me as I have combination skin and I have heard that this is meant to be excellent for that. I've got this to use as part of my evening skincare routine, once I have currently used up another cleanser.

Body Shop Seaweed Toner
I'm about half way through my first bottle of the Seaweed toner from the Body Shop, so I thought I would get another one just to tie me over until I can think of another toner I want to use/ try out as part of my evening skincare routine. I don't usually get along with skincare from the Body Shop, but this range has been ideal for me try and I've no issues with it. I thought it would be harsh on the skin, as the Seaweed range is aim at combination/ oily skin, but it isn't. It also has a lovely fresh scent too it.
