Review: OUAI Hair Oil

 Hi everyone,

I have been trying out the hair oil from OAUI, and I'm really enjoying having it as part of hair care routine.

The OUAI Hair Oil is a multi tasking oil that smoothes out frizz and also seals split ends for a high gloss, super smooth finish. It has been packed with African Galanga, Ama and Asian Borage oils to keep colour from fading and to also protect the hair from heat damage.

I really like to use the OUAI hair oil once I have washed and towel dried my hair, as I find that it makes my hair feel smoother and more nourished if I just leave my hair to dry naturally. I can certainly notice a difference once my hair is dry after using this hair oil.

Because I have fine hair, but loads of it I find that I don't even need to use a full pump, and it spreads throughout the ends of my hair really easily. This has got to be once the best hair oils that I have ever used.

Fragrance Review: Mango Thai Lime from Jo Loves

Hi everyone,

I have recently placed an order for my very first fragrance from Jo Loves, and I decided to purchase the fragrance 'Mango Thai Lime' as the fragrance from the Jo Loves range that I've wanted the longest.

The Jo Loves brand has been created by Jo Malone back in 2011. I love the fragrances from the original Jo Malone brand, but the Jo Loves fragrances are a lot more special as these fragrances have been created by Jo Malone herself.

Mango Thai Lime Fragrance Inspiration
The 'Mango Thai Lime' fragrance takes inspiration from Thailand. It evokes a sweet, sharp and zesty vibe from a lovely ripe golden mango which has been served with fresh lime and topped with a sprinkling of black pepper.

Fragrance Notes
- Golden Mango
- Lime
- Black Pepper
- Mint Leaves

The 'Mango Thai Lime' fragrance from Jo Loves is a 'Summer Holiday in a bottle', as it's so light and zesty. The scent also reminds me a little bit of going into a sweet shop when I was younger.

This is a delightful fragrance to wear anytime of the year; and it certainly brings a sense of joy and happiness. A scent that will certainly put a smile on your face.

Planner & Stickers Haul 2020

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased my planner and also my music planners for 2021. I have decided  to go back to using Personal Planner for both of these planners, as this is the planner company that works best for myself. I've also got stickers from my favourite sticker shops on Etsy who are Sugarloop and also Happy Cutie Studio.

2021 Planner & Music Planner Designs
Both of the designs can be found within the 'photos' section of the Personal Planner website. The design on the left is from the 2020 Spring Collection, and the one on the right is from their new Wedding Collection. My 2021 planner is an horizontal layout, which is the layout that works best for me; and the Music Planner is one their A5 lined notebooks, which I have ordered two of the same design as I can fit six months in each notebook.

Stickers from Sugarloop
The stickers from Sugarloop are all designed by a lovely lady called Bernadette who is based in New Zealand. I love the stickers from Sugarloop as they are mostly designed using watercolours, which was something I was looking for when I first getting into planning.

I use the 'Pay Day' to mark off my paydays within the monthly spreads, the watercolour boxes with the frame are used for when I order and collect my regular medication from the pharmacy, and the pastel coloured flags are used to mark off my flute lessons within the weekly layouts.

The script stickers are in the turquoise shade, and these are in the 'Months of the Year' and also 'Goals'. The Goals stickers have been customised for myself to match the months. These stickers will form the layout for my music planner, once I have got everything I need in place.

Stickers from Happy Cutie Studio
The stickers from Happy Cutie Studio have been designed by Carol, and they are based in Kent in the UK. I love the stickers from Happy Cutie Studio as they feature my favourite Koala Koko.

I have a selection of stickers from Happy Cutie Studio that have become favourites of mine throughout these few years that I have been planning. My favourite stickers are the Bill Due, Wax Warmer, Koko Warm Drinks, Koko Sleep In, Clean Make Up Brushes, Suitcase, Check Up and the Stethoscope stickers.
I use these stickers to track appointments, when I clean my make up brushes, change the wax in wax warmer, large bills that have to paid off monthly, and just a few fun Koko stickers.

Review: Pixi Vitamin C Serum

Hi everyone,

I have recently started using the Pixi Vitamin C Serum as part of my evening skincare routine.

I have started to use the Pixi Vitamin C serum, as I have finally used up the Truth Serum from Ole Henrikson. This serum has a lovely lightweight consistency that sinks into the skin straight away, and it also has a lovely lemon scent.

Benefits & Claims

The Pixi Vitamin C serum is a brightening and antioxidant serum that provides the skin with a boost of immediate and long term radiance.
The serum contains both Vitamin C & Ferulic acid, and these have been proven to reduce the effects of sun damage and free radicals, which will help to improve the skin tone as well as creating a smoother complexion.

- Helps to boost the skin's natural collagen production and also the natural luminosity of the skin.
- Ferulic acid & Vitamin C work together to lessen the damage caused by the sun
- Creates a smoother complexion by improving the appearance of skin tone
- Skin is soothed & hydrated with added Aloe extract
- Formulated with lemon, orange & grapefruit extracts
- Suitable for all skin types
- Paraben free
- Not tested on animals

I'm really enjoying the Pixi Vitamin C serum as part of my evening skincare routine. Also, due to its lightweight consistency it sinks into the skin straight away. I also like that it has a lovely lemon/ citrus scent, but most Vitamin C serums that I have used over the years seem to have some sort of citrus scent too them.

It's a lovely product to use due to its lightweight consistency, and its also budget friendly. So, if you are looking to try a Vitamin C serum that is a little more purse friendly then have a look into the Pixi Vitamin C serum to see if its something that could work for you, especially if you have never used a Vitamin C serum before.

My Scalp Care Routine

Hi everyone,

I have recently introduced a scalp care routine into my haircare routine, as my scalp was in need of a little TLC.

First Shampoo - Body Shop Ginger Shampoo
For the first shampoo I use the Body Shop Ginger shampoo, as its an anti dandruff shampoo. I was taught that the aim of the first shampoo was help lift the build up from the scalp, which makes the Body Shop Ginger shampoo an ideal first step. It's very gentle on the scalp while also being effective at the same time. It also smells like fresh ginger.

Second Shampoo - OAUI Detox Shampoo
For the second shampoo I use the OUAI Detox shampoo, as this will help to get any build up off the scalp that was lifted up from the ginger shampoo as well as give my hair a really good cleanse without making it feel stripped or dry. Also, the OUAI Detox shampoo smells really luxurious. I also don't use a lot of this shampoo as little goes a very way.

Conditioner - Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Hair Mask
I opted for a hair mask for the last step of this routine, as I wanted something that would add nourishment back into my hair. So, I decided to get the Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Mask. It smells like coconuts it makes my hair feel both nourished and conditioned. I only use a small amount of this hair mask, as it spreads really far once applied to the hair. I only concentrate this hair mask through the lengths and also the ends of the hair.

I'm really enjoying using my new scalp routine, as it makes my hair feel fresh and clean without it being stripped; and also it feels conditioned and nourished without anything weighing down my hair. Every time I do this routine my hair feels a lot lighter in weight, and once its dried it feels really soft.
