Cult Beauty Haul

Hi everyone,

I have recently been doing a little bit of beauty shopping on the Cult Beauty website, as I needed a few skincare bits and I also wanted to change up a few of my eyeshadow palettes.

Sunday Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser
I decided to purchase the Amino Gel Cleanser from Sunday Fridays as I'm down to using my last morning cleanser, and this has some really nice reviews. It also smells like a tropical paradise. I'm really looking forward to using this cleanser as part of my morning skincare routine, once I finished using up my current cleanser.

Aurelia Balance & Glow Day Oil
I decided to purchase the Aurelia Balance & Glow Day Oil, as I'm currently down to my last facial oil that I use as part of my evening skincare routine. Even though it is facial oil aimed to be used during a morning skincare routine I will be using this as part of my evening skincare routine, as I reckon I would work well within that routine.

Viseart Rose EDIT Palette
I've been interested in trying out the eyeshadows from Viseart for a long time, but I could bring myself to buy one as they are on the expensive side for an eyeshadow palette. But, I was recently looking to update my neutral eyeshadow palettes, and the EDIT palettes from Viseart ticked all of the boxes. Not only are they travel friendly, but they are on the more purse friendly side for an eyeshadow palette. The Rose EDIT palette drew me in as its got a lovely mix of neural tones with pops of pink and purple thrown in, so it isn't like the everyday basic neutral eyeshadow palette.

Viseart Paris EDIT Palette
This is similar to the Rose EDIT palette, but it's more of a cool neutral eyeshadow palette. I'm really looking forward to using both of these eyeshadow palettes from Viseart, as I can see myself having quite a lot of fun with both of the colour stories.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Chantilly'
I'm still on hunt to find a replacement concealer for the original Urban Decay Naked concealer, and this was one of options I stumbled across while I was browsing the Cult Beauty website. It had extremely good reviews, and I know that it's been a favourite for years within the beauty community; and it is also supposed to work well for people who have oily/ combination skin. The shade 'Chantilly' is a fair neutral shade, and it should work well at least shade wise for my complexion.

Natasha Denona Mini Glam Palette
I have been waiting for the mini palettes from Natasha Denona to be released in the UK for months, and they have finally made their way over to the UK. I've been wanting the mini Glam palette since it was released, and I also have my eye on the mini Nude palette. I love how compact these eyeshadow palettes are from Natasha Denona. Both the Nude and the Glam palettes are ideal to create easy, everyday eyeshadow looks.

Review: L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Cream

Hi everyone,

I have been using the L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Cream as part of my evening skincare routine to give my skin an extra boost of hydration throughout the night.

I have been using the L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Cream for a few months, as part of my evening skincare routine; and my skin seems to be really enjoying it due to the extra boost of hydration it gives my skin throughout the night.

It has a lovely lightweight formula that sinks into the skin straight away, and my skin feels instantly hydrated once it has been applied as part of my skincare routine. It does have a mild, but refreshing fragrance.

Claims
- A fresh & comforting face cream that instantly recharges skin with water leaving it replenished, radiant & supple
- This melting fresh cream hydrates the skin while comforting it. Its velvety, light texture combines the refreshing thirst quenching benefits of a gel with the softening & smoothing properties of a cream.

I'm really enjoying using the L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Cream as part of my evening skincare routine, as its a slightly thicker moisturiser than what I'm used to using during my evening skincare routine. Even though it has a slightly thicker consistency it does sink into the straight away, and the hydration that it gives the skin is more or less instant once it has been applied.

Even though the Aqua Reotier range from L'Occitane is aimed at people who have dry skin, I'm finding that it also works well for my oily/ combination skin. As I'm also currently using the Ultra Thirst Quenching Gel from this range as part of my morning skincare routine.

Everything I've Tried: Lancome Edition

Hi everyone,

This blog post has been inspired by Rachel who runs the YouTube channel thingsbytheberk.

I'm going to talk you though all of the products that I have used over the years from Lancome, and to give you an honest opinion on them.

Hydra Zen Anti Stress Cream SPF15
The Hydra Zen Anti Stress Cream SPF15 from Lancome is a soothing moisturiser, and it provides the skin with hydration that lasts all day long. It is enriched with naturally derived plant extracts alongside Lancome's NeuroCalm Complex. The Hydra Zen Anti Stress Cream relieves skin from everyday environmental aggressors, and it also soothes the skin. The formula is enriched with Rose de France, Mu Dan and also Moringa extracts.

I found this moisturiser too be a bit too thick as a day cream, and it took a while for it to sink into my skin. It has the traditional Hydra Zen scent of rose, but it is only lightly fragranced.

Hydra Zen Nuit Neuro Calm
The Hydra Zen Nuit Neuro Calm is an anti stress night cream, and it adds a boost of hydration to the skin overnight as well as soothing the skin. It also leaves the skin feeling refreshed, as well as soothing dehydrated skin.

I really enjoyed using the Hydra Zen Nuit Neuro Calm night cream, as even though it's a slightly thicker night cream it sank into my skin straight away. This moisturiser is also lightly fragranced with rose.

Advanced Genefique Serum
The Advanced Genefique serum is inspired by microbiome science, and it enriched with 7 prebiotic and probiotic derived extracts. The serum helps the skin's natural barrier to recover, and make the skin look healthier.

I've had numerous samples of this serum over the years, and I used this serum as part of my skincare routine; and now that I don't have it my skin isn't actually missing it.

Energie de Vie Sleeping Mask
The Energie de Vie Sleeping Mask plumps the skin with moisture, and it leaves it looking fresh and hydrated. It also gently neutralises any skin damaging free radicals. It also has a lovely melt in texture that transforms when it hits the skin.

This is one of my favourite products from Lancome, and it was also the product that got me onto sleeping masks. If your skin is in need of a nightly boost of hydration then this could be for you.

Energie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser
The Energie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser helps to refresh tired looking skin, as well as leaving feeling refreshed and hydrated.

This is a lovely day time moisturiser which sinks into the skin straight away. I've also found that I didn't need to use a lot of this moisturiser as a little bit went a long way.

Tonique Eclat
The Tonique Eclat is a clarifying exfoliating toner, which removes any dead skin cells from the skin. It also has a non drying formula, which leaves the skin feeling clean, purified as well as fresh faced.

This is the one product from Lancome that I haven't actually got round to using just yet.

Renergie Multi Lift Eye
The Renergie Multi Lift Eye is an anti-wrinkle eye cream, and it strengthens the skin's natural protein that helps the firmness and elasticity.

I'm currently using this eye cream as part of my daytime skincare routine, and it is the most expensive eye cream I've ever purchased; and I don't think I will be rebuying. While it's a nice eye cream I don't actually see any benefit.

Vichy & L'Occitane Haul

Hi everyone,

I have recently been doing a bit of skincare shopping, as I've only got maybe one back up left of certain skincare products in my skincare routine. So, I've decided to not only stock up on few items, but to also try out some new products to see if they will work for me and my current skincare routine.

Vichy Aqua Thermale Perfecting Toner
I'm currently using this toner as part of my morning skincare routine, and I'm really enjoying it. But, at the same time I seem to be going through quite quickly, which is very unlike me. It's a lovely toner to use, and it leaves the skin feeling refreshed and also slightly hydrated.

Vichy Mineral 89 Serum 50ml
I'm down to using my last hyaluronic acid serum in my morning skincare routine. So, I decided to get the Mineral 89 serum from Vichy as I've been wanting to try it for a while, but it seems to be always sold out when I want to go and pick one up. I've heard nothing but good reviews about the Mineral 89 serum, and I'm looking forward to introducing it into my morning skincare routine.

L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Water Cleansing Gel
I have decided to purchase another bottle of the Aqua Reotier Water Cleansing Gel from L'Occitane, as my skin really enjoys a more hydrating cleanser due to my skin being oily/ combination type. I also really like how refreshing this cleanser smells, as it a mild, fresh clean scent.

L'Occitane Gel to Foam Cleanser
I've also purchased another gel cleanser from L'Occitane, as I fancied giving another gel cleanser a try to see if it would for my evening skincare routine. This cleanser is also mildly fragrance with cucumber and thyme, so it should also be refreshing on the skin.

My skin really seems to enjoy gel cleansers either as a second cleanse in the evening or as a main cleanse in the morning, as I only double cleanse in the evenings.

L'Occitane Lavender Shower Gel (Travel Size)
I decided to add on a lavender shower gel from L'Occitane while I was placing my order, as I just needed something to make my order up. I really enjoy using a lavender shower gel every now and again, as it relaxes me when I need it. It has the traditional lavender scent, and I'm really looking forward to using this shower gel.

I hope that you have really enjoyed my very small Vichy and L'Occitane haul. I would really like to explore more of the skincare that both Vichy and L'Occitane offer.

Review: L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Gel

Hi everyone,

I have been using the L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Gel as part of my morning skincare routine, and I'm really enjoying having it as part of that routine.

The L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Gel has a gorgeous lightweight texture that sinks into the skin like water to provide an instant burst of hydration.

Claims
- A refreshing & cooling face gel that instantly recharges the skin with water leaving in replenished, radiant & plumped
- Enriched with hydrating hyaluronic acid & calcium rich Reotier water known for it's properties to help skin maintain it's hydration barrier & retain moisture
- This ultra fresh moisturiser contains thousands of micro bubbles that instantly recharge the skin with water
- It's formula glides onto the skin to act like a magnet to hold moisture & drench the skin all day long. Skin's natural hydration is improved; and it is immediately recharged with water.
- The skin is left feeling replenished, recharged, and visibly plumped

This is a lovely moisturiser to use as part of a morning skincare routine, as it's so light that it instantly sinks into the skin leaving no sticky residue behind. I adore how my skin feels instantly hydrated, and my skin feels as if it has just had a drink of water. The hydration that this moisturiser provides my skin lasts throughout the entire day, and my skin also feels a lot more comfortable and not as tight as with an heavier moisturiser.

I have oily/ combination skin, but this moisturiser would work wonders for anyone who has dry skin due to the amount of hydration this moisturiser gives the skin. I love the lightweight consistency, as it just sinks into the skin straight away. It does have a mild, but refreshing fragrance, but nothing overpowering.

It's an all round fabulous moisturiser that is suitable for dry and oily/ combination skin types.
