The Body Shop Haul - Feb 2014

I haven't shopped inside The Body Shop for a good few years. So, I decided to go inside and see what they had on offer; and I didn't come away empty handed.

The first thing I picked up was the Coconut body mist, as I'd thought it would be nice to wear when the warmer weather arrives.

I then went to pick up two shower gels, one in coconut; and the other one in satsuma. I've never tried the Body Shop's shower gels before, but I have heard that they are meant to be really nice.

I couldn't resist the urge to pick up a satsuma body butter, as this one gets raved about a lot. I got this, as I'd thought it would be great to use during the summer months. The satsuma scent from The Body Shop is amazing.

The final item I picked up was a coconut gift set, as I wanted to try some more of the coconut range. The gift set includes a 50ml body butter, a 50ml body scrub, 250ml shower cream, soap, and a body puff.

My Guerlain Collection

Hi everyone. I'd just thought I'd share with you my small, but perfectly formed Guerlain collection. It's a mixture of make up and fragrance. I'd also like to stress that I'm not bragging or showing off.

Meteorites Perles du Paradis in 02 Teint Beige
The Meteorites are for enhancing the skins natural complexion, as well as to give it a subtle glow. The meteorites are made up of both flesh tones and pastel pinks, and they also give a subtle sparkle to light up the face.
I have the shade 02 Teint Beige, which is the closest shade to my natural skin tone.

Terracotta Light Sheer Glow Bronzer in 02 Blonde
The Terracotta Sheer Light bronzer is a lightweight bronzing powder. It enhances the look of the skins natural complexion and gives a light glow. It also creates a natural look for both blondes and brunettes, and makes the complexion look sunny, subtly iridescent, ultra-luminous and sheer.
I have the shade 02 Blonde, as works the best for my skintone; as I'm quite fair.

Precious Light Illuminator
The Precious Light pen is an illuminator/ highlighter; which is similar to the YSL Touche Eclat pen. It is enriched with the Precious Rejuvenating Complex and pigments of Eclat d'Or. Also, this formulation has specks of gold running through it; which helps to give the complexion a subtle golden glimmer. The Precious Light illuminator will help to erase dark circles, the signs of ageing, as well as revealing a natural and revived complexion.
I got this as my current under eye concealer is due for running out, and I got the shade in 01; as its the closest to my natural skintone.

Shalimer Perfum Initial EDP
This isn't something I'd usually go for fragrance wise, as the scent is quite powdery. I do like to wear it, but not often. The scent starts of quite strong, but once it dies down it does go quite subtle.
Notes: Ambery floral notes, bergamot, rose, jasmine, iris, vanilla, tonka bean

Le Petit Robe Noire EDP
This has been on my fragrance wish list for over 12 months, and I was lucky enough to find it in the Christmas sales. I love this, as its a grown up fruity scent, but unlike the EDT it takes a while for the notes of black cherry to come through.
Notes: Black cherry, almond, berries, bergamot, rose, tonka bean, black tea

Review: Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk

I've been using this cleanser for around six months, and I've recently repurchased a second bottle. This was actually an accidental purchase, which I have just happened to have fallen in love with.

I like this because its lightweight, as well as hydrating. I don't use this to take my make up off, but I do use it as part of my everyday skincare routine.

The Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk is formulated with ingredients which help to sooth and nourish the skin, as well as to protect the skin. But, it does claim to be suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. But, it does contain a subtle fragrance of sweet almond and cornflower; which myself personally don't mind. But, if your sensitive to fragrance then this may not be for you.

How I Like to Use the Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk

I take about three pumps of the cleanser into my hand, and then I dab it all over my face. I will then massage it into the skin for around one minute. To remove the cleanser I will use a hot face cloth to take off the cleanser, and I will then pat my skin dry before I apply my toner.

Trafford Centre Haul - Jan 2014

Debenhams
I went into Debenhams to see if I could get hold of the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, and sadly its internationally sold out. I'll keep trying to get hold of it though. Anyway, I had a bit of a browse around the beauty hall and I noticed a Nails Inc counter, so I went to have a peak. Lets just say one thing lead to another, and I came away with three new nail varnishes.
The nail varnishes are: -
- Porchester Square (nude, taupy shade)
- Chelsea Square (pink gold glitter)
- Trafalgar Square (Galaxy nail varnish - blue & silver glitter)

I then went to the Origins counter, as I wanted to a couple of moisturisers since my current one is due for running out. The lady who served me was lovely, and she couldn't do enough to help me.
Here's what I picked up at the Origins counter: -
- Ginzing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser £23
- Drink Up Intensive Mask £22

John Lewis

I went to the Decleor counter to see if they had in a moisturiser that I noticed while I was browsing last month, and they had.
The moisturiser I brought was the Hydra Floral Multi-Protection 24 hour activator light cream, in the 30ml size RRP £25

Boots
I went into Boots to purchase the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II serum in the 30ml size. I got the snallest size, as they'll only be me using it. I went to get this after trying a weeks worth of samples to see if it suited my skin. The 30ml size retails for £48
