KIKO Make Up Haul

 Hi everyone,

I have recently done an online shopping order with the Italian cosmetics brand KIKO. I've only ever purchased a few things from KIKO in the past, but everything I have brought I have been really impressed with. I also like that they are budget friendly make up brand.

Smart Fusion Lipsticks in the shades 405, 407 & 420

Smart Fusion Lipsticks
I already own one of Kiko's Smart Fusion lipsticks in the shade 405, so I decided to grab a few more as they had a 3 for 2 offer on lipsticks at that time I was ordering.
405 - Vintage Rose        407 - Rosewood          420 - Light Rosy Mauve
The shades Vintage Rose and Rosewood are true to the photograph, but the shade Light Rose Mauve actually pulls more lilac/ lavender than on the photo.

Pure Clean Milk & Tone
The only reason why I ended up picking this little travel size up of the Pure Clean Milk & Tone was to make up my order, but I am still looking forward to using it within my skincare routine.

Smart Colour Eyeshadow in 10 Matte Cream
This was the main reason I ended placing an order with KIKO, as I was struggling to find a single matte cream eyeshadow to use alongside my eyeshadow palettes. I was in need of a matte cream single eyeshadow, as not all of my palettes have a matte cream shade. I use a matte cream shade to set my eye primer before I start my eye look.

Luxurious Lashes Waterproof Mascara
The Luxurious Lashes waterproof mascara hasn't long since been released by KIKO, and I was in need of a waterproof mascara as I had used up my the last one I had in my collection. This seems like the kind of mascara that I would enjoy using.

Smart Colour Eye Pencil in 11 Matte Turquoise
I've been after a turquoise eyeliner for a while, but I didn't want to spend a lot on just in case it doesn't suit me. I got this to go alongside my blue/ green eyeshadows, just to give them an extra pop of colour.

Smart Eyeliner Brush 203
I was looking for a smaller eyeliner brush so then I could fill in my eyebrows with a little more precision. I really like using the other brushes that I have from KIKO, so I didn't mind adding another one to my brush collection.

I'm off to take a short break from my blog, so this will be my final post for 2020. But I will be back sometime in January with more reviews and hauls for you, and fingers crossed hopefully some more theatre reviews depending on what happens over the coming months.

NB) My blog will be back on the 19th January 2021 at 9am GMT

Products I've Used Up - November 2020

 Hi everyone,

It's empties time again, and I have gone through quite a number of products over these past few months.

Soap & Glory 'It's the Way She Smoothes' Body Lotion
I really enjoyed the consistency of this body lotion from Soap & Glory, but I wasn't over keen on the passionfruit fragrance. The more I have used the passionfruit scented range from Soap & Glory; the more I realise that this range isn't for me.

Body Shop Cactus Blossom Shower Gel
This was a limited edition summer line from the Body Shop a few years ago. I already love the shower gels from the Body Shop, but unfortunately this scent wasn't for me. I have one more of these to use up in my collection of shower gels.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in 'Fair Neutral' (Discontinued)
This is the original Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer before the brand reformulated the line. This was a lovely, lightweight concealer that worked wonderful with my oily/ combination complexion. It was just time for it to go, as it wasn't performing as well as it used to.

Monou Skin Ginger & Lemongrass Bath & Body Oil
The scent of this body oil was divine, and the ginger really came through. I also found this bath and body oil to be very moisturising, as after I had finished in the shower I didn't have to use a body lotion/ body butter. It was a decent sample to use, as I got three uses out of it; but I won't repurchase as I found that I needed to use a lot of product at once.

L'Occitane Lavender Shower Gel (Travel Size)
I had been wanting to try a lavender shower gel for a while, but I could never find one. I came across one on the L'Occitane website, so I decided to pick up a travel size one to try. It has a lovely natural lavender scent, but it is just a shower gel with slightly better ingredients.

Superdrug Deodorant in Sensitive & Soft Pink
I fancied giving the deodorant from Superdrug a try, and unfortunately it didn't perform as well as I was hoping. The scents were okay, but I think I'm going to stick with the brands that I have been using for years.

B&BW 'Tahiti Island Dream' Body Spray
This is the last travel size body spray from Bath & Body Works I own. and I have finally used it up. The 'Tahiti Island Dream' is now a discontinued, but I do know that they bring it back every now and then.

B&BW 'Coconut Water Chill' Pocketbac
I'm slowly working my way through my Bath & Body Works pocketbacs, and this was the last one I had in 'Coconut Water Chill'. The 'Coconut Water Chill' fragrance has long since been discontinued by Bath & Body Works.

Rituals 'The Ritual of Nameste' Cleansing Oil
This is a fantastic cleansing oil if you are looking for one on a budget. This lasted me for months, and it smelt like a spa. Gorgeous cleanser, and it emulsified nicely once water had been added to it, and it came off easily with a face cloth. An all round lovely product.

Vichy Purete Thermale Perfecting Toner
This is a lovely hydrating toner from Vichy, and I used this as part of my morning skincare routine. I've already using my second bottle.

Pixi Rose Tonic
I'm still enjoying using the Rose Tonic from Pixi, and I'm now working on my second full size bottle of this toner. It has mild rose scent, and I use this toner as part of my evening skincare routine.

L'Occitane Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Gel
This is a lovely lightweight gel moisturiser that is great for people who are in need of a burst of hydration in their skincare routine.I found this sunk into the skin straight away, and it gave me a boost of daily hydration that my skin needs; but it also kept some of the oiliness away for a number of hours.

Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate
I have gone through a number of bottles of this throughout the years, and I've currently got another one on the go.

Ole Henrikson Truth Serum
This was my first ever experience of using a Vitamin C facial oil years ago, and this is the second one I've gone through. It still provides the same benefits, and it still smells like oranges. It is a lovely Vitamin C serum to try, especially if you have never used one before.

Aussie Mega Shampoo & Conditioner
I've had mixed feelings about the Mega line from Aussie over the years, but this time around I really enjoyed using it. It left my hair feeling clean and hydrated. I have already repurchased another Mega shampoo and conditioner in the larger size, and I will be using it once I have worked through my current shampoo and conditioner.

Lush Rehab Shampoo
This has got to be one of my favourite shampoo's that Lush has to offer, as it leaves my hair feeling clean and moisturised. You also don't need to use a lot at any one time, as a little bit goes a very long way. It also has a really nice citrus scent that isn't to overpowering.

L'Oreal Elvive Oil in Cream
This I'm just decluttering as I've never really used it, and plus I have had in my collection for years. So, its just time for it to go.

Argan Secret Miracle Mask
This was a lovely hair mask to use from Argan Secret, and it provided my hair with a lot of hydration and it left it feeling soft and silky. It also smells gorgeous. I would repurchase, but I have quite a few hair masks to get through first.

Abbott & Broome Handwashes in 'Pomegrante & Ginger' & 'Orange & Bergamot'
The Abbott & Broome handwashes can be found in Aldi, and the formula is quite nice to use as it lathers up really well. But I wasn't keen on both of these scents, and the only scent from this line that I like is the 'Rhubarb and Rose' fragrance.

Lacura 'Shea Butter & Ginger' Hand wash
I really like the Lacura hand wash from Aldi, and I really enjoy using the Shea Butter and Ginger hand wash. It's just a nice, budget friendly hand wash.

B&BW 'Black Cherry Merlot' Deep Cleansing Hand Wash
The 'Black Cherry Merlot' fragrance from Bath & Body Works is one of my favourite scents. I have one more of these within my hand wash collection, and then I will be at the end of deep cleansing hand soaps from B&BW.

Mini Budget Skincare Haul

 Hi everyone,

I have recently done a little bit of skincare shopping in Superdrug, as I was interested in trying out a few of their own branded products.

Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser
I'm need a few cleansers for the first step of my evening skincare routine, as I'm flying through the one that I'm currently using. The Vitamin E Hot Cloth cleanser seems like it would make a great first cleansing step. It also comes with a muslin cloth within the box. It does smell quite floral, so that might be something to consider if you are looking into buying this cleanser.

Vitamin E Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator
I'm getting low on my current manual exfoliator, so I thought I would give this a try. It also makes a great budget option if you are looking into trying out a manual exfoliator that won't be too harsh on the skin.

Me+ Peptide Booster & Me+ Acacia Collagen Booster
Superdrug has recently released their own version of skincare boosters, and their price point is similar to brands like 'The Ordinary' and 'The Inky List'. The two that seem that would suit my personal skin type are the Peptide Booster and also the Acacia Collagen Booster. The Acacia Collagen booster is aimed at giving the skin nourishment and improving its overall health, while the Peptide Booster aims to make the skin look firmer and younger over time.

Olay Nourishing Cleansing Balm
I decided to also pick up the Olay Nourishing Cleansing Balm, as I became interested in this cleanser a few weeks ago while I was in Superdrug. This cleanser is aimed at people who have a dry complexion, so I'm hoping that it will work just as well for my oily/ combination complexion. It also has a spa like scent too it, so it seems it might provide a little relaxation.

Review: Rituals 'The Ritual of Nameste' Radiant Glow Cleansing Balm

 Hi everyone,

I have recently started to use the Rituals 'The Ritual of Nameste' Radiant Glow Cleansing Balm as part of my evening skincare routine.

This is my third product that I have used from the Rituals 'The Ritual of Nameste' range, and I'm really enjoying using it as part of my evening skincare routine. I use this cleansing balm as my first cleanse of my evening routine.

Claims
- Gorgeous soft cleansing gel that melts into an oil when messaged into the skin, & then turns into a cleansing lotion
- The gel to oil cleanser gently removes impurities, pollutants & make up, leaving the skin feeling smooth, soft & clean
- Helps to keep the skin looking refreshed & supple & protects the skin against environmental pollution stress
- Contains a face cloth within the box

Moringa - Contains a rich complex of nourishing substances that help make your skin feel moisturised & hydrated

Sweet Almond Oil - This aromatic oil is rich in proteins & vitamins. It is also mild, nourishing & soothing. It also helps to regulate the moisture balance of the skin

This is a lovely cleansing balm to use as it has a gorgeous silky texture that just melts onto the skin. To turn it into a lotion consistency you need to add a small amount of water,  as this will also make it easier for you to remove the cleanser with a face cloth.

This cleanser also has a mildish fragrance that disappears once you have removed the cleanser from the skin. It also leaves my skin feeling soft and slightly hydrated once I have removed it from my skin.

The face cloth that comes within the box has two sides; one side is really soft while the other provides an manual exfoliation. It's also really high quality as it has quite a bit of thickness to it, which gives it a more luxurious feel.
