Fragrance Empties 2018

Hi everyone,

I have been saving up my empty fragrance bottles, so then I could do a post on my fragrances that I have used up over the past year or so.

Avon Little Lace Dress 10ml Spray
This is a lovely mature scent that fades away nicely. The amount of compliments I received when I was wearing it was unbelievable, as people were really drawn to the scent of this. I have a 50ml bottle of this in my fragrance collection ready to go.

Avon Sparkling Citrus
This is a lovely citrus scent that isn't overly citrus. Its just really nice to wear on an everyday basis.

Avon Passionfruit
This is a lovely passionfruit, and I'm not normally one for passionfruit fragrances but this is one that I enjoyed wearing.

CK In2U 50ml
This is a lovely scent to wear everyday, as its just a lovely subtle fragrance.

Body Shop Fijian Lotus
This is a fresh fragrance, which is something I don't usually wear. But I really enjoyed wearing this on an everyday basis, as it was just an easy fragrance to throw on and not worry about if it was too overpowering.

Katy Perry's Killer Queen
This is a lot stronger than the rest of the fragrances that I have mentioned, and it does stay around on the skin once it has been applied.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir EDP
This is a lovely fragrance to wear, especially if you like the scent of cherries. This is another one that stays on the skin for a good while once it has been applied.

These are all of the fragrances that I have currently used up for the moment.

Advice for Changing Up Your Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

I thought I would share with you some advice for when you want to change up your skincare routine.

Introduce New Products Gradually
If you want to change things up within your skincare routine and introduce new products, make sure you do this on a gradual basis so then your skin can adjust to these new products. It takes the skin around three to four weeks to adjust to each new product that you introduce.

Don't Expect Skincare Products to Work Instantly
With skincare it takes time for you start seeing results, as your skin needs to adjust and adapt to the products you are using in your skincare. These don't work straight away, and it does take time before you may start to see benefits of your skincare routine.

Research Combinations in How to Layer Oils & Serums
This is important, as some skincare products need to be layered a certain way especially if your using a combination of both oils and serums. Its usually the lightest first, so then it can be absorbed into the skin straight away. But, depending on the nature of the oils/ serums and combination of these products they might be layered a different way or not layered at all. If your a little unsure seek advice from a beauty professional who will be able to advise you more on the products within your skincare routine.

A Little Beauty Haul - September 2018

Hi everyone,

This is a small beauty haul of products that I have purchased over the past couple of months. I've have also recently purchased a new camera, so I'm trying out for the first time for this blog post. I'm hoping that the photos will look a lot clearer.

Maybelline Lipstick in Mauve Mania
I have my eye on the shade 'Mauve Mania' from Maybelline for a good few months, as I adore mauve/ purple shades on my lips due them being naturally quite pigmented.

ELF Mint Lip Scrub
We have finally ELF now over here in the UK, and its quite accessible as its now being sold in Superdrug. I've been wanting to try the ELF lip scrubs, as I have heard a lot of positive things about them. I decided to get the mint version to try first.

ELF Matte Lip Colour in 'Tea Rose'
This is another product from ELF that I have been wanting to try, and its the very well known lipstick in the shade 'Tea Rose', which is a slightly darker mauve than what I'm used to wearing.

Pixi Fairylights for Eyes in 'Rose Gold' & 'Sun Ray'
I decided to treat myself to the Fairylights liquid glitters from Pixi, and I purchased the shades 'Rose Gold' and 'Sun Ray', as those are the shades that I think I would get the most use out of. I also like using these types of products as glitter eye liners, especially now that own a brush small enough to apply them as eyeliners. I'm looking forward to having some fun with these.

Lancome Multi Lift Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream
I got this to form part of daytime skincare routine, once my current daytime eye serum has ran out. I've never used an eye cream from Lancome before, but I'm hoping its going to be a little bit hydrating than my current one.

Paco Rabanne Lady Million EDP 80ml
I'm currently working on a travel spray of Lady Million at the moment, and I have decided to treat myself to a bottle as I have really enjoyed using the travel spray. The scent is lovely, while having a slight maturity too it, and it also lasts a long time on my skin and throughout the day.

I have recently celebrated my 30th birthday, so the perfume and the eye cream were purchased with the money I received for my birthday, and everything else I picked up over the past couple of months.

Review: Lush Mask of Magnaminty

Hi everyone,

I have recently been trying out a face mask from Lush, which I have never used before. I'm really enjoying using this face mask, so I thought I would review for you.

The Lush Mask of Magnamity is a multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle, but effective ingredients; which includes honey and kaolin and these help you to maintain your beautiful skin from the outside.

Claims

Peppermint Oil - To stimulate the skin
Marigold Oil & Chlorophyllin - To help to treat the skin
Evening Primrose Seeds & Adula Beans - To gently exfoliate
Mineral Rich Kaolin - To nourish the skin
Honey - Antibacterial properties

I have been using the Lush Mask of Magnaminty for twice a week, and I really like it. I'm enjoying this mask as not because it feels refreshing on the skin, but I also feel like its doing something to my skin. I have oily/ combination skin, and my skin feels a lot cleaner and a lot less oily after I have used this mask. So, its great if you want a mask that absorbs the oils if you have combination skin.

I would recommend this mask if you do have oily/ combination skin, or if you fancy trying out a mask as a little treat due to it being refreshing to use.

Review: Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks

Hi everyone,

I originally wasn't a fan of the idea of liquid lipsticks, as I didn't like the idea of something being uncomfortable sitting on my lips. That was until I tried the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks.

Melted Matte Lipsticks in Queen B (Left) & Sell Out (Right)
The first Melted Matte Lipstick I purchased was in the shade 'Queen B', as I really suit mauve shades on my lips. I only purchased one at the time, as I just wanted to see if I enjoyed the formula and the idea of liquid lipsticks. I have recently purchased the shade 'Sell Out', which is darker nude pink and slightly darker than my natural lip colour. Not too sure if I want to purchase any more shades from this range at the moment, but I am happy with these two purchases as they are more to my liking.

The Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks have a lovely, lightweight comfortable formula; which also has quite a good wear time. They also have a gorgeous sweet scent too them. These liquid lipsticks are ideal for anyone who would like try out the idea of liquid lipsticks, but are a little unsure.

Claims
- Long wearing, ultra-matte lipstick with the staying power of a stain and the intense colour of a liquid lipstick.
- Infused with Volulip for a non-sting plumping and soothing effect
- Avocado oil, Vitamin E & Hyaluronic filling spheres to moisturise and smooth lips
- Lightweight, long wearing formula wears comfortably
- Angled applicator for a precise application

I'm really impressed with the Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks, as they seem to be the ideal formula as they are long wearing, but also very comfortable on the lips.
