Yes Style Haul

Hi everyone,

This is the first ever order that I have placed through Yes Style, and I don't know why I haven't placed an order with them sooner as their prices as very reasonable. Yes Style specialises in beauty that comes from Asia including Korean and Japanese beauty to name a couple. They also do accessories and jewellery.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Berry
I have been interested in trying the lip sleeping mask from Laneige for years, as I've heard nothing but good reviews about this sleeping mask. I decided to purchase the full size sleeping mask in the original Berry scent.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Mini Travel Set
I also decided to pick up a set of mini lip sleeping masks, as I was interested in three out of the four scents. The scents in this set include the original Berry, Grapefruit, Apple Lime and also Mint Choco. All of these scents smell divine.

Mizon Water Volume EX Cream
I got this to use a sleeping mask as part of my evening skincare routine, as I currently only have one evening moisturiser left. I love a good hydrating overnight sleeping mask, and this was also recommended for oily/ combination skin types. This also isn't the standard size for a moisturiser as it's 230ml, so its going to last me a while once I start to use it.

I really enjoyed shopping with Yes Style, and I have managed to get a code to save you a little bit of money.
The code is: VL2H45

I really love the array of different beauty products and brands that we can't get easily here over in the UK, and I have found quite a few items that I'm interested in trying. The prices are also extremely reasonable. They also offer free shipping if you spend £30.

Everything I've Tried: Pixi Edition

Hi everyone,

This post is inspired has been inspired by Rachel from the YouTube channel thingsbytheberk. Rachel usually focuses on make up products that she has tried from a certain brand or store, where as I'm focusing mine on products from skincare brands that I have tried over the years.

I'm starting off with Pixi, as that seems to be the brand where I have tried the most from over the years.

Rose Ceramide Cream
The Rose Ceramide Cream is an ultra rich cream which is infused with ceramides and rose oil to help deeply hydrate the skin for a healthier and more supple appearance and feel. It's also infused with rich botanical antioxidants that help to improve the elasticity of the skin, as well as protecting the skin from environmental aggressors. Due to its rich and luxurious formula it delivers deep and long lasting nourishment to the skin; and the antioxidants help to protect the skin against any free radicals. The formula quickly absorbs into the skin.
Rose Flower Oil - Nourishes & restores
Ceramides - Provides time released moisture
  Probiotics - Protects & balances

I really enjoyed using the Rose Ceramide Cream during the Winter months, as it kept my oily/ combination skin feeling moisturised and hydrated throughout the colder months. I used this moisturiser as part of my morning skincare routine, and my skin loved it throughout the day.

Glow Tonic
This glycolic acid toner helps to tone, firm and brighten the skin, as well as helping to remove any dead skin cells for a healthier looking complexion. Glow Tonic is formulated with 5% glycolic acid, ginseng, and Aloe Vera. The glycolic acid exfoliates and purifies the skin, while ginseng helps to energise and aid circulation of the skin; and Aloe Vera helps to soothe and hydrate for a better looking complexion. The formulation helps to refine the appearance of pores, as well as aid the acceleration of cell turnover and this helps to reveal a healthier, brighter and glowing complexion while also helping to balance and soothe the skin. Glow Tonic contains no alcohol and is suitable for all skin types.

I have been using glycolic acid once a week in my routine for years, and the Pixi Glow Tonic is the mildest of the two that I have tried. I'm currently using my second bottle of the Glow Tonic, and this gets used as part of my Saturday evening routine.

Rose Tonic
The Rose Tonic is a toner that is naturally soothing to the skin, as well as being rich in nutrients. It also helps to tone and balance the skin's natural pH level, and to also minimise any redness and calm the skin. It helps to rehydrate, replenish and refresh the complexion. The toner is infused with Rose Hydrosol that helps to rehydrate and neutralise the skin. It also helps to normalise the skin's hydration, as well as removing any impurities. The Rose Tonic is suitable for all skin types. The formulation is infused with Rose Flower Extract, elderflower and chamomile. The Rose Flower Extract helps to calm and minimise any redness, while the elderflower softens, tones and brightens the complexion; and the chamomile helps to soothe the complexion.

I have started to use the Rose Tonic as part of my evening skincare routine, as it helps to soothe and add a little hydration back into my skin. I also have another bottle ready to go once this one runs out.

Overnight Glow Serum
The Overnight Glow Serum is a concentrated exfoliating gel that helps to reveal a more even and radiant complexion. While you sleep this serum will help to exfoliate and also soothe the skin to reveal a brighter complexion. The Overnight Glow Serum is formulated with 10% glycolic acid, arginine, and this helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and help to fade sun spots over time. It's also infused with cucumber and Aloe Vera which helps to calm down the skin; and to add nourishment. It also contains Vitamins A, C and E. The 10% glycolic acid helps to soothe any textured skin, while Vitamin A is a potent antioxidant and cucumber will help calm and soothe the skin.

This was the very first product that I used in my skincare routine that contained 10% glycolic acid. When I first started using it I only used it once as part of my Saturday evening routine, as it was intense to use at first. But once my skin started to get used to it it actually wasn't as bad. I've just recently reintroduced this as part of my Saturday routine, as the product that I was using in place of this had run out. It leaves my skin feeling clean and slightly hydrated when I wake up the following morning.

Nourishing Cleansing Balm
The Nourishing Cleansing Balm is a gentle cleansing balm that has a rich, but luxurious texture. It can remove all traces of make up while nourishing the skin and leaving it silky soft. Its has a balm to oil formula that can melt away any make up and impurities while it thoroughly cleanses the skin. It is formulated with sweet almond oil, shea butter and Vitamin E, which will provide nourishment to the skin. Once the balm has been removed it leaves the complexion feeling plumped and nourished.

This was my introduction into the world of cleansing balms and the double cleansing technique. I was always skeptical of using cleansing balms due to having an oily/ combination skin type. As an introduction into using cleansing balms as part of skincare routine this was a nice purse friendly one, and I went through a number of these over the years. But I now much prefer the use of a cleansing oil, as they are more easier to use.

Glow Mud Cleanser
The Glow Mud Cleanser is a deep pore cleansing mud that will gently exfoliate and purify the skin. It is enriched with 5% glycolic acid and soothing botanicals. It gives the complexion a gentle exfoliation and a deep cleanse. The formula provides an effective cleanse, but mild enough to suit all skin types.

This was the only clay based cleanser that I have ever used in my skincare routines, and I used this as part of my evening routine. I found that I had to use a lot of product at the time I was using this, but I also think that I may have over exfoliated my skin at the time as I remember that my skin felt less hydrated than usual. So, I don't think this cleanser was for me.

Complexion & Skincare Haul

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased some complexion & skincare products, as some of the current products that I have in my collection are either running low or on their last legs.

ELF Sheer Pressed Powder in Fair/ Light
I decided to get another pressed powder, as they seem to work for my skin. In the end I decided to pick up the ELF Sheer Pressed Powder as it seemed to be the powder that would match my natural complexion and work well with my other foundations in a similar shade.

L'Oreal True Match Concealer in 1N
I've had this before but the shade I picked up was way too yellow, but the 1N shade looks as if it would suit my natural skintone. I've got this to see if its similar to the original Naked Skin Concealer, as unfortunately the original formula has now been discontinued.

Revolution Glass Mirror Illuminator in Glass Mirror
I really liked the look of this highlighter from Revolution, as it has a subtle duo chrome effect.

M&S Formula Daily Advanced Cleansing Oil
I decided to pick two of these up, as I really like using a cleansing oil as the first step of my evening double cleansing routine. I've yet to try these, but I have been told that its a really nice cleansing oil.

REN Clarimatte Toner
One of the most effective toners for oily/ combination skin that I have ever used. I only use this once a week as part of my Sunday routine, but it has a lovely, refreshing feel too it and it leaves the skin feeling clean with a little hydration.

Becca Instant Awake Set
I decided to get the Becca Instant Awake set from Cult Beauty, as it was a really good value for money and I've been interested in trying the under eye products from Becca for some time, as I've heard nothing but good reviews. The set contains a full size Anti Fatigue Under Eye Primer, Deluxe Size Under Eye Brightening Corrector and also a full size Under Eye Brightening Setting Powder.

Becca First Light Priming Filter 15ml
I've also been interested in trying the priming filters from Becca, so I decided to get a travel size of the First Light Priming Filter to see how it works with my skin. I also have a few primers in my make up collection, so thats another reason why I didn't want to purchase a full size primer.
