Review: Manuka Doctor Normalising Facial Oil

Hi everyone,

I have recently added the Manuka Doctor Normalising Facial Oil into my evening skincare routine, as I had run out of my previous anti-redness serum.

Claims
- Rich in powerful plant extracts
- Designed to balance and refine the skins texture
- Refreshes and rebalances the complexion
- Refines the appearance of pores
- Skin looks smooth and luminous
- No parabans or SLS
- A blend of 18 different oils

Oils that Are Present in the Normalising Facial Oil
- Hazel seed oil
- Jojoba seed oil
- Rosehip seed oil
- Grape seed oil
- Argan oil
- Oryza seed oil
- Leptospermum Scoparium branch/ leaf
- Wheat Germ oil
- Sunflower seed oil
- Cucumber seed oil
- Passionflower oil
- Marula seed oil
- Papaya seed oil
- Seabuckthorn seed oil
- Spearmint leaf oil
- Patchuli oil
- Marigold flower oil
- Echinacea Root extract

This is a lighweight facial oil that sinks into the skin straight away, and it also leaves the skin feeling hydrated. I apply three drops every night, and it does seem to be taking my redness slowly.

Lush Favourites

Hi everyone,

I used to be an absolute Lush fanatic during my late teens, early twenties, and during that time I discovered some of my favourite products; and I repurchased them over and over again. I also got recommended a combination of products to use together, which I'm going to share with you at the end.

Karma Koomba Shampoo Bar

This worked an absolute treat on my hair when I kept on waking up with knots in the centre of my head, and it actually sorted the problem out. I used two full Karma shampoo bars, and I didn't have the knot problem with my hair up until recently. Here's the downside - it's been discontinued, but if you do want to try it then there's a chance it could appear on the Lush website in the Lush Kitchen. I've managed to purchase two for myself recently through the Lush Kitchen, but they do need to bring it back.

Avobath Bath Bomb

This was one of the first ever bath bombs that I ever tried from Lush, and I still love it. I had actually forgotten how gorgeous this smelt. Its a lovely, fresh citrus scent that isn't too overpowering.

You've Been Mangoed Bath Melt

If you love your skin to feel silky smooth and soft, and you like the scent of mangos. Try this, as its a delightful mango scent and it scent sticks to your skin.

Big Blue Bath Bomb

I love this bath bomb as it turns the bath a lovely blue, and it also has seaweed inside the bath bomb itself. Its fragranced with lemon oil and lavender oil, which makes it really relaxing.

Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb

I think this is my all time favourite bath bomb from Lush, as it has an uplifting fragrance of bergamot, jasmine and lemon. It also turns your bath water into an array of colours.

Karma Soap

I used to love the Karma soap from Lush, and I went through a number of bars of this in the past. Even though its only a soap the scent sticks to your skin.

Ocean Salt

This is one of the best exfoliators I've used, and I have gone through quite a few of the small tubs of this over the years. I also love the citrus, lemongrass scent that it has. There's a few variations of Ocean Salt now available at Lush, but its now better than ever.

Bubblegum Lip Scrubs

This is my favourite flavour out of the Lush lip scrubs. The granules in the lip scrubs are finer than what they were when I first started using it. Excellent lip scrub, and a little bit goes a long way.

Happy Hippy Shower Gel

This is my all time favourite shower gel from Lush, as its a zingy and lemon delight. Also a little bit goes a long way. I've lost count of how many bottles of this shower gel I have repurchased in the past, but its a good one.

Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask

This was the face mask I replied on when I was more acne prone, and it did an amazing job of getting rid of the acne. I also has an awesome blueberry scent to it. The only downside is that it has to be used in two weeks and also kept in the fridge.

'Project Use It Up' 2017

Hi everyone,

At the beginning of April I will be starting 'Project Use It Up' again. My 'Project Use It Up' will run from the beginning of April 2017 and end on the 31st April 2018. I've also included a few rollover products from my 'Project Use It Up', as I didn't finish them.

Rollover Products
- Burt's Bees Coconut & Pear Lip Balm
- Lee Stafford Shine Head Shine Spray
- YSL Touche Eclat Foundation

New Products for 2017
- L'Occitane Verbena Shower Gel
- 5 Avon Shower Gels
- Blistex Mediplus Lip Balm
- Body Shop Chinese & Ginseng Face Mask
- Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Cologne 30ml
- 3 Deluxe Size Body Lotions & 1 Mini Body Lotion
- Milkshake Leave in Conditioner
- M&S Lily of the Valley Shower Gel
- Ragdale Hall Lavender Oil Pillow Mist
- Clarins Jolie Rogue Lipstick in Pink Sugar
- Jo Malone Wild Fig & Cassis Cologne 30ml
- L'Oreal Expert Intense Repair Hair Mask
- Batiste Sweetie Dry Shampoo
- 2 Dove Shower Gels
- 3 Full Size Body Lotions
- Molten Brown Templetree Body Wash

I am aware that this is shower gel heavy this time around, but I have quite a lot of shower gel to use up. I'm also challenging myself to use up all the body lotions that I own. The big challenges that I have set for myself are to use up two lip balms, a lipstick and also a foundation. But, saying that I have already started making some progress on the lipbalms and also on the lipstick. Depending on how things go I may decide to add in a couple of more products, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Review: Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream

Hi everyone,

I've finally found an eye cream that doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes.

I originally started out using the Rich formula of the 'All About Eyes' eye cream, and I loved it, but once I had finished it up I decided to purchase the original formula. But overall this is just a fantastic eye cream, and it caused any issues for my sensitive eyes.

- Helps to minimise and soften lines and wrinkles
- Helps to make the fragile eye area skin stronger and better protected
- Comforts and soothes the eye area
- Calms and soothes

Products I Have Repurchased #1

Hi everyone,

I thought I would share with you some products that I have repurchased over years, and some of which was even before I started my blog. The products that I'm sharing with you are all honest repurchases.

Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk

This was the first cleansing milk I used when I started getting into skincare, and it was also one of the Caudalie products that I tried. I really loved this cleansing milk as it has a light and hydrating formula, and it is also fragranced with the signature Caudalie scent. When I first started using this cleanser I went through one standard size bottle, and also one large bottle. If I felt that my skin needed a little extra hydration or just something to calm things then I would definatly repurchase this cleanser again in the future.

Simple Soothing Toner

I've gone through countless bottles of this toner over the years, and now it's more of a 'failsafe' toner. Because if I'm ever in need of toner, but in a pinch then this is the one I would choose, as it does a good job while still being on a budget.

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps

I love the deep cleansing hand soaps from Bath & Body Works, mainly because they exfoliate and hydrate my hands while I'm washing them. I also really like the variety of scents that they have on offer. The only downside is that they are not easy to get hold of in the UK.

FAB Ultra Repair Cream

This works wonders as a hand cream, and it also sorts my hands out if they ever get chapped due to over washing them. Also the active ingrediant in the Ultra Repair Cream is Colloidal Oatmeal, and its that which gives it a load of benefits as well as being a multi use product.

Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel

I adore the satsuma shower gel from the Body Shop, as it has a lovely citrus scent. This is also the shower gel which got me into buying Body Shop products in general. The Satsuma shower gel is great for the warmer months, and a bottle od shower gel from the Body Shop lasts me around six weeks.

Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter

I've gone through a number of tubs of this over the years, and I really like the body butters from the Body Shop as they are really hydrating. The Satsuma body butter is also great during the warmer months.

Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub

One of my favourite body scrubs on offer from the Body Shop, as it quite a scrubby texture and it does the job of removing dead skin extremely well. The scent is also lovely. I've gone though a number of these throughout the years, and I also have one sitting in my back stock waiting to be used.

Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo

I really like the fragrance of the Tropical dry shampoo from Batiste, which is one of the main reasons why I have repurchased it. I currently have one on the go, and I also have a back up. It takes me around a year to use up a 200ml bottle, as I don't use it that often.

Aveda Scalp Benefits Shampoo

This worked wonders on my scalp, and I loved the fragrance of this shampoo. I have repurchased it in the past, but I haven't done in a while. It's an excellent scalp shampoo, and it cleans my extremely well.

Lacoste Touch of Pink Fragrance

I discovered the Lacoste Touch of Pink fragrance during my time at college, and I loved it. It was also my signature fragrance during college years. I have repurchased it in the past, and I will buy it again once I have gone through more fragrances.

Review: Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser

Hi everyone,

I have recently been using the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser, as part of evening skincare routine; and I would like to share my thoughts with you.

This has got to be one of the most hydrating moisturisers I've ever used.

I have fallen in love with this moisturiser, because since I have been using it I have received a number of compliments on how my skin looks. As it looks brighter, plumped and a lot more hydrated.
